About this album

Volume 8: The Threat is Real! is the eighth studio album by American heavy metal band Anthrax. The album was released in July 1998 by Ignition Records. The band and Paul Crook produced the album, which includes the single “Inside Out”. Other singles released were “Crush”, “P & V” and “Born Again Idiot”. Volume 8: The Threat Is Real only debuted at #122 on the Billboard 200 charts. The song Crush appears in the video game ATV Offroad Fury for Playstation 2 and in the game’s soundtrack.

    a bit of a change, but nothing annoys me more than people that hate an album purely because it's a change in direction so i won't complain at all... not my favourite anthrax album,a good listen nonetheless

    This album is brilliant, don't let any reviews tell you otherwise! It isn't so much thrash as it is groove; very simular to Pantera at times but not quite as heavy.
