9 Mar 2009, 12:28 by hdsanderThis week's Hypelist of bisa includes her favorite Scandinavian bands. An occasion for me to review whom I like from Scandinavia. Starting with the artists that spontaneously cross my mind, completing the lists looking at the Last.fm tags. My most played and highest rated artists on top, the second half of the lists is mostly unordered cause I cannot decide about an ranking.
Tina Dickow (aka Tina Dico, a five-star artist!)
The Savage Rose (Annisette Koppel)
Catbird (Billie Koppel)
Naja Rosa (Naja Rosa Koppel)
Aqua (Oh, yes! *lol*)
The danish tag shows some more Danish artists that I like:
Mew (note to myself: I badly need an album of them)
10 Jul 2007, 13:11 by jamie-oWhen it came time for me to compile the obligatory end-of-year best list in December 2006, I made the mistake of forgetting everything I'd listened to in the first six months of that year, and my list inevitably came out lopsided. I admitted that, being of weak memory, I was probably in need of making the task somewhat simpler for myself, and should divide the year up into easier to digest segments (like Coco Shreddies).
So here we are. At just past the halfway mark of twenty-oh-seven - as a brief aside, I'm getting more and more afraid of how fast time is going nowadays - I present to you my favourite albums of the year so far:
Little Man Tate - 'About What You Know'
This album has helped to define the modern pop-music scene in Britain for me; simple, catchy melodies, and relatable lyrics. Ordinarily, I find myself preferring slightly cryptic song-meanings, but 'About What You Know' has convinced me not to shy away from the straightforward.
