Andy Roberts

“Andy Roberts” is the name of the first digital album put together by the artist over a period of months in 2007/8.

This album features the eight minute ballad Gernika as well as five other self penned songs from recent years.

The Wreckers Prayer is based upon a pice of folklore that cannot be properly verified about the Cornish Wreckers of old, which Andy Roberts claims to have been inspired by a plaque in a church on the Isles of Scilly.

The Nutmeg Tree is a strange little song in an Elizabethan/traditional/nursery rhyme style which only the songwriter seems to understand.

Back in The Field was written in a tent in Gloucestershire

Cormorants is another of the songs written in one week during a trip to Spain, and set to music up to five years later.
