Andy Hunter° is a British DJ and composer of EDM music, mostly with a Christian twist.
Andy Hunter was born in the midlands of England in the mid-1970s, and became involved in music in his early days of adolescence, and became interested in sound engineering in the 90’s. He began to work with Suede and The Wonder Stuff. In 1992, he joined the New Generation Music and Mission as a traveling engineer and moved to Bristol - the scene that was breaking drum and bass. Over the next ten years, Hunter worked hard in the studio, honing a new and exciting style of music. In fall of 2002, his work culminated in his epic work Exodus, which Hunter released on Nettwerk. Early in 2005, Hunter released a 6-track album, Life.
With media such as Rolling Stone giving his first album Exodus props, and appearances in video games and movies, Hunter° has found himself touring the United States, Japan and Europe with top names in the dance music business. He recently performed at Midem’s opening night party in Cannes, France, an international music conference that gathered heads of industry from the music and technology world. Last year, Hunter also donned the stage at the Digital Entertainment Anywhere launch, hosted by Bill Gates, in Los Angeles.
Andy began working on a new album, which was released on March 18, 2008. Entitled “Colour”, it contains a total of 12 tracks, more than he’s ever done for an album.
He also produced the score for the movie “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed”, with Robbie Bronnimann.
