Biography

Underground Midwest hero Andrew Coltrane (b. 1972) is one of the most prolific noise artists of the last twenty years. He has amassed over 378, 483 releases in his lifetime and his Discogs section stretches to over 16 pages (and counting). His style varies from Harsh Noise, Abstract Noise, Ambient Noise, Industrial and Power Electronics. He primarily works solo, but has collaborated with various artists such as Justin Marc Lloyd, Sick Llama, Spykes and Neckhold. His music has been described as ‘akin to being waterboarded with sulphuric acid at Guantanomo Bay in the middle of a full force hurricane, a blistering experience of flesh-strippingly visceral textures and convective dynamics that’s about as potent as they come’ (boomkat.com).
