Andre Matthias (* 15 February 1974 in Hamburg ) is a composer of film music .

Andre Matthias studied at the University of Hamburg systematic and historical musicology. He worked as a composer of numerous short and feature films with. Matthias composed music for plays at first until he in 1999 the soundtrack zuwendete. With film music for projects and graduation films by students from various German film schools he set out in a short time a name among young directors. With a number of independent directors , he has since been working together on a regular basis. These include Roman Deppe , Teymur Mokhtari and Timo Landsiedel .

Chinese director Kenneth Bi dedicated Matthias 2007 his feature film The The Drummer . Reason for choosing a German composer, was the fact that the film of the German production company Twenty Twenty Vision is co-produced. This film music his work was first perceived in the international arena, 2008, he was in favor of the Hong Kong Film Award nominated film score in the category of Best Original.
