Passenger was recorded over 25 years ago, at EMI Studio’s in Johannesburg.

Andre Barlow and Martin Tavener Smith noted this track as their favourite and they looked for a vocalist to sing the song.

Nicky Redlich came on the scene and they met her at the studio. She had never heard the song, nor seen the lyrics and had never seen Martin nor Andre before!

The music was done by Andre & Martin (bass) and the drums were done by an Oberheim DMX drum machine, programmed by Andre.

Passenger had an update in 2002, where a guitarist and another female backing vocalist were used.
