• New Songs, August 16-29, 2009

Two weeks of updates, since I was kind of on the road last Saturday. :-)

The Guild released their new music video and song, and I immediately added Do You Wanna Date My Avatar to my track list. Hilarious. Watch it on YouTube.

1, 2, 3, 4 - Heard it a couple times and really liked it, finally found it.

15 to 20 (feat. Lady Tigra) - One of the few songs I kept from my free iTunes samplers.

Supersonic - It's Fergalicious but without the stupid words or Fergie's voice! Just the awesome beat!

Title of the Song - I am definitely going to have to find more from these guys. This was hilarious.

Pretty Buildings - Found on YouTube, loved, acquired, and only listened to it once. I should rectify that.

Boom Boom Pow - Lots of hype about it... It IS crazy catchy!

Can't Help Falling In Love - Weird version, and yet somehow addicting... Thanks, tinymixtapes.com!

Your Boy - Didn't care for most of his other stuff, but I enjoyed this.

  • Determined to get my Last.fm back on track

    23 Aug 2008, 05:25 by PurpleCow17

That silly bug in the Zen Vision:M + only listening to Christian music because of being part of NLDC the past year has skewed my Last.fm stats so very very much! I shall have to fix this. Hopefully eventually it'll balance itself all out. In the meantime, I'm catching up on all my showtunes.

However... a brief rundown of some of the songs/albums/artists I've discovered in the last year that I actually like.

Big Yellow Taxi - Yes, I realize I should hate this song. I realize it's terrible musical taste to like it. I don't care.

Alexythmia - Actually, most of Anberlin's stuff is pretty stinking amazing.

There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - What a haunting feel to this song. And for some unknown reason it keeps reminding me of the movie Metropolis...

Baseline - An infectious song by a band that has faded from existence.

Holiday - An infectious silly pop song. We haven't had any good silly pop in a little while.

Holy Rollin' - Partly because I just re-discovered it and it gives me a sense of nostalgia. …
