Amy married Woody Potter on October 17, 1996. Amy has a daughter by a previous marriage. Woody has a son and a daughter by a previous marriage, and one granddaughter.
Amy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on November 14th, 1995. Woody accepted the Lord in January, 2001. They try to give all glory to God in whatever they do, and they keep active doing Christian volunteer work. Their web page is at http://home.windstream.net/wpotter.
Their past lives are not to be lifted up as an example for others to follow but as a wonderful example of God’s grace and mercy. Their lives have dramatically changed since they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. They consider themselves “young Christians” (young in the faith), and they have much to learn about God and the Bible. Amy was saved (while attending a United Methodist church in Ohio) about a month after the two met. Woody was saved six years later while they were both attending a Missionary Baptist church in Kentucky. They now attend Calvary Baptist Church, a fundamental independent Baptist church in the heart of downtown Portsmouth, Ohio. Calvary’s web page is www.becauseofcalvary.com.
Woody is retired from A.K. Steel Corporation in Ashland, Kentucky. He spends his time keeping up the land he owns in Greenup County, Kentucky. He enjoys woodworking, building and repairing computers, and bluegrass gospel music.
