It's disappointing how much the band ignores this record.. When I saw them, they didn't play a single thing from it. Strange considering that it's probably their best record apart from Elegy.

"Alone" was the first song I've ever listened to from these guys and still is my favorite Amorphis' song.

This I feel is one of their strongest efforts overall (better than Tales (which I still love) IMO), it's in my Top 3 favorites list (my favorite with Pasi Koskinen behind the mic). I adore the Progressive/Goth direction that they are going with on this release. I love every song on this album (some more than others, but still), from Alone to Grieve Stricken Heart.

Why does this say it was released in 2007? I remember listening to this 11 or 12 years ago...

its supposed to be a rock album, people are expecting some kind of death metal and getting let down. its not a bad album at all

Amorphis never made Doom, you don't have an Idea. This is my favorite album from them but I like every other Amorphis Record too.

What the hell? This isn't progressive metal. This isn't doom metal. This is just bland as all hell, catchy, pop metal.
