This I feel is one of their strongest efforts overall (better than Tales (which I still love) IMO), it's in my Top 3 favorites list (my favorite with Pasi Koskinen behind the mic). I adore the Progressive/Goth direction that they are going with on this release. I love every song on this album (some more than others, but still), from Alone to Grieve Stricken Heart.

its supposed to be a rock album, people are expecting some kind of death metal and getting let down. its not a bad album at all

Tales and Tuonela had a pretty big doom influence. Anyways I never really bothered getting too much into the Koskinen -era besides Tuonela, I think i'll try to give this some listens soon.

Amorphis never made Doom, you don't have an Idea. This is my favorite album from them but I like every other Amorphis Record too.
