Amish Noise was originally a one man sound machine. The beginnings of Amish Noise stretch as far back as 1998, doing bedroom recordings in Lockport, NY with a friend using only a microphone, a bass, a casio keyboard and some effects pedals all recorded on a boombox. Upon leaving town, Reverend Bearded Amish began to experiment with bedroom 4 track recordings ultimately leading to the 2002 demo. With a 48 hour a week job and no free time it made it hard to do anything significant until Reverend Bearded Amish started ‘9 volt gimmick’ in boston with 2 other individuals (then finally a drummer). This band lasted about a year until the drummer disappeared and Reverend Bearded Amish moved to albuquerque where he continued to churn out Amish Noise recordings, with some serious drum machine skills after purchasing a DR-670 before leaving boston.
