Sandman (6:23)

From History: America's Greatest Hits and 21 other releases

According to the Sandman Songfacts, there is a widespread rumor that this song is about the US Navy’s VQ-2 air squadron which was formerly based in Rota, Spain. It would stand to reason, since the members of America were all British-born children of American servicemen. Rota, Spain’s VQ-2 Naval base is the one known as “Gateway to the Mediterranean.”

I have what I can only describe as a zany sense of humour !! It keeps me young at heart, and helps me forget mytroubles and woes ! I honestly do not mean to offend in any way. I lwas dumbstruck when I heard Angie Babe......!! I felt very highly honoured indeed...!!!!!!
