i think the allah-las are the big thing for 2010+. amazing band. did not hear the new 2016 stuff - but i am sure this will be brilliant as the other 2 albums. great to have bands like the allah-las around. keep on rockin.
I'm only the third song in on their self-titled album whilst actually LISTENING to it properly; and I fucking love it already. Aren't things great when you actually focus? I know that's obvious, but sometimes we forget such simple things.
I'm not convinced. A pastiche is fine if it adds something to the original template. What Allah-Las seem to lack is any decent tunes unlike their influences who frequently had tunes in spades as anyone who plays "Nuggets: Original Artyfacts From The First Psychedelic Era" will quickly discover. I've played the latest album album "Worship The Sun" twice now and it all sounds so anodyne and makes me wonder 'What's the point of Allah-Las?'. I'm very interested in alternative views though....
Allah-Las has spent the summer performing its grungy surf sound throughout California, with a full schedule continuing on in the coming months. The band took some time to chat with us about its Los Angeles influence, touring, and the process of writing an album.
