Great band. Hope to get more material from them soon. Most of the similar artists and tags do them little justice.

I'd have to toss up between Crimson or their Self-titled for my favourite album. I Lied My Face Off is such an amazing song. I cant believe its not even listed :/

Good Mourning has some good tracks, but not the best. I agree that Maybe I'll Catch Fire is no.1

    November 2006
  • happybivouac

ZacMagnum: Yeah, seriously. As You Were, For Your Lungs Only, I Lied My Face Off; all not even within the top 50.

    November 2006
  • BiffJerky

I agree with that. I feel their sound went too commercial and mainstream in Crimson, the only song that actually blew me away was Burn. Good Mourning is a gem in comparision. I still think the best is Maybe I'll Catch Fire. They peaked there, no doubt.

    November 2006
  • ZacMagnum

You know whats funny? All the good songs are on the bottom of the Top Tracks list, except for a few.

    November 2006
  • stevejbcdefg

Good Mourning gets the nod for worst Alk3 album, it's a dud. Obviously, Goddamnit is their best. Disagree, Maybe I'll Catch Fire no.1 imo. Though every time I here a Goddamit track it grows on me more and more. Would of said Fhti a few months back. The two meh ones for me are Crimson and Good Mouring, Crimson doesn't have any of my favourites on it so I'll go with that as the worst.

I would be happy to send anyone Angel Alcohol for a copy of Magic Bullets. There are some supposed listeners here on last.fm, so I know someone must have it :(?

anyone here can someone tell me who listen to alkaline trio and shit, cause its kinda hard when i know someone like alkaline trio but also like rap :( the hell!!!

    November 2006
  • WoundedThorns

i disagree. Crimson was the dud for me. some songs were addictive, but i skip over most of the tracks.

    November 2006
  • alkalinemftrio

To pick up on an earlier conversation here, Good Mourning gets the nod for worst Alk3 album, and it's really a one horse race. That album would be good if any other band released it, but as an Alk3 album, it's a dud. Obviously, Goddamnit is their best.

    November 2006
  • happybivouac

Not to mention that shorts and t-shirts have been out of the band's wardrobe for a long time, too.

    November 2006
  • alkalinemftrio

Cool picture, but Mike has been out of the band for a long time.

    November 2006
  • SingYouToComa

I don't know about whatever happened to Angel Alcohol, but as for Magic Bullets what I've heard is that it was written and sung by Derek--only it was scrapped, never got finished and wasn't included on the album, and there's no version of that for anyone to have.

    November 2006
  • DennisTheCasey

Yeah I would like those two songs two. Anyone out their who could be of help to me and a dark figure?

    November 2006
  • a_dark_figure

Can anyone help me gather information on the supposed b-sides to Godamnit, like the titles Alcohol Angel, and Magic Bullets, I have only heard these songs in passing and would love to get more information on htem, or even possible find someone with the mp3s

JustLainy, those are based upon what other people listen to. alot of people have both MCR and alkaline trio scrobbled - even me.

  • ferretlord

While I agree that From Here to Infirmary was probably their worst album, I'm one of those who thinks that Crimson was their best album. They definitely have learned more about music and have branched out their styles. I know that I'm in the minority here, but I'm curious to see other people's opinions.

Derek Grant. Back in the day, he laid down some of the most amazing drum tracks punk rock has ever seen on The Suicide Machines' Destruction By Definition, and now here he is wearing ridiculous zombie makeup.
