for a band with a reputation for being weird and grating, they can sure write pop punk hooks

I wonder if Im the only one who thinks Antonas vocals are Perry Farrell-ish....

Haven't left a shout since 2009. Alice Donut. My favorite band for 8 years and counting.

Michael Jung recorded my friend's band. Check it out. (not self-promo, I'm not even in this band. I just think it needs to be heard). http://retina.bandcamp.com/track/toys

great fucking band
23 Mar 2010, 6:20pm
Habe die Band zu Zeiten des "Revenge fantasies of the impotent"-Albums im Dortmunder FZW gesehen. Waren extrem gut und haben die Bude ordentlich durchgeschüttelt.
24 Jan 2010, 4:36pm
I loved them during high school, saw them live and forgot about them in the last few years. Now it's time to rediscovere them again. Great band!

Absolutely seminal influence on me throughout my teens and early twenties. (....probably explains a lot...) "Dorothy", "Egg", "For Consumer Decency", "Big Cars And Blowjobs", how come none of these are in the top ten? PS - TraumaSponge - you're right about "Tiny Ugly World"
15 Aug 2009, 1:59am
10. GLORIOUS. ANIMALS. YESSSSSSSSSSS.
13 Apr 2009, 6:13am
Tiny Ugly World is absolutely one of the best songs ever written. It's like punk rock's Imagine.

Una banda de culto de los 90´. Los directos de Alice Donut son realmente de pronostico reservado, tuve la oportunidad de verles en el SBSW Festival del 93 en Austin TX. Una experiencia rompe bolas escuchar en vivo varios de los temas del disco The Untidy Suicides of Your Degenerate Children.
26 Jan 2009, 1:57am
Wonder how "Mother of Christ" got to be number one... good sond and all, but they had many better on UNtidy Suicides
26 Jan 2009, 1:06am
The son of a disgruntled x-postal worker reflects.... is probably the best song ever written!!
12 Dec 2008, 7:46am
One of my favorite bands, ever. So different, so creative. Also good for the "Nobody has ever heard of it" cred. "Lisas father" will get you fired from work. I know this first hand.
1 Dec 2008, 2:03am
best albums names of any band. hands down.
17 Oct 2008, 6:13am
Hands down my favorite band of all time. Hail the almighty Donut.
25 Jun 2008, 6:27am
Great, great band, probably the most underrated of the 90s. Incredible live. Tuneful, sleazy, perfect. Jane's Addiction is Alice Donut lite.
11 Apr 2008, 9:25pm
I'm pretty sure it's got something to do with them not having much on CD, or alteast that I can find :( Has anyone got revenge fantasies of the impotent on cd or know of a download as unfortunately I cannot scrobble vinyl...?
9 Jan 2008, 10:30pm
when i saw a marylin manson video (don't konw which one) the first time i thought you have seen this years before from alice donut (e.g. from the untidy... lp) why is this so hyped??? just a poor copy
22 Oct 2007, 4:25pm
Very good band.I don´t understand why they are so unknown.
22 Aug 2007, 2:56pm
just getting into these, great shit!
31 May 2007, 8:29pm
And it would help if you could die. Something fast and tragic at an early age. Guilty soon as you try. Get a sense of history put yourself on the page. It's an ugly sight. When everybody's on the stage.
6 May 2007, 4:32am
this band seriously does win. i wish more people listened to them.
9 Feb 2007, 3:04am
I would say Myanmar is the Armpit of the Universe but that's just me.
25 Jan 2007, 8:29am
Fuck yah, beeb! New Jersey is the Armpit of America, if not the entire Universe (but I still love it so...)
10 Dec 2006, 6:50am
THIS BAND WINS
