He was born in Kermanshah, Iran in 1981, He have been entering to the music world from 1989 with learning of tanbur. He got the first dignity of this instrument soloist tournament in schools of the Kermanshah province in 1995. He had been learning from master Mozaffar Berenji from 1996.
Grup Munzur (The Web Group) was founded in 1992 in Izmir/Turkey.
In 1993 it's debut album appeared. Grup Munzur does not only sing in Turkish, but (in addition to Circassian, Laz, Greek a.o.) they mainly sing also in Kurdish languages like Zazaki, Kurmaji and Gorani.
Born in Kermanshah (Iran), Ali studied playing the Tanbour under the supervision of well-known masters such as Golnazar Azizi, late Amrollah Shah Ebrahimi and late dervish Amir Hayati. He also took Setar lessons with mastro Hossein Alizadeh and Ebrahim Sepehri as well as maestro Mohammdreza Lotfi and Keyhosrow Pournazeri.
Mohammad Reza Lotfi (Persian: محمد رضا لطفی) was born in 1947 in Gorgan, Iran. Encouraged by his elder brother, he learned to play the tar and showed his talent by winning the first prize in Iran's Young Musicians Festival in 1964. The following year, he started his studies at the National Conservatory in Tehran under Habibollah Salehi and Master Ali Akbar Shahnazi.
Siāmak Aghāei (Persian: سیامک آقایی) is an Iranian composer and Santur player. He was born in Ahwaz, Iran, in 1973. At the age of eight he began his musical studies on the “Santur” in “The Organization of Preservation and Publication of Iranian Traditional Music”.
