Voodoo is the debut album of Canadian actress and singer-songwriter Alexz Johnson. It was released on March 30, 2010. Writing and recording for the album began mid-Summer 2009 when Johnson was released from her contract with Epic Records, who still holds recordings and her original debut album. On the matter, Johnson has said that the biggest struggle was putting her record with Epic Records to bed.”I had to clear my thoughts and start fresh. Pull from my recent experiences and what I love about music now in my life.” Along with this statement, she promised that her album with Epic Records would see the light one day and fans that were eagerly anticipating the album would be able to listen to it. One single has been released so far from the album, which is “Trip Around The World.”
