Biography

Alexandra Danshova (Essen, Germany) is a composer, performer, music instructor and promoter. She studied music composition with Prof. Andrei Mdivani at the Belarusian State Academy of Music (BSAM). It was also BSAM where she got her M.A. degree in music composition (2005).

She taught music composition and improvisation at the National Music College (Specialized Music High-School for the gifted youth) and the Glebov Music School in Minsk.

Alexandra Danshova gained popularity among the music lovers in Belarus through her recitals given at the Belarusian State Philharmonic Society and the Minsk Youth House. Her music was performed in many countries, including Belarus, Russia, Poland, Italy and France.

Alexandra's works include chamber, vocal, choral and orchestral compositions, popular songs and music for the children. She has also composed music for several theatre and movie productions.

Since 2007, together with the Goethe Institute, Alexandra Danshova has been co-producing the KONTAKT Annual Belarusian-German Music Project, which helps out modern music to get performed and promoted.
