Biography
Alex Sonata is an up and coming DJ and producer from Edinburgh, Scotland. It is hard to deny that Alex has the ability to produce addictive melodies in his productions and this was proven with his first single entitled ‘Silex’.
‘Silex’ was immediately signed to Chriss Ortega’s Groovebox label and was supported by some of the biggest names in dance music today. ‘Silex’ was not only supported and play listed by Tiesto on his hugely popular radio show Club Life (Episode 213), but also by Armin Van Buuren’s A State Of Trance radio show. In addition, the Alex M.O.R.P.H remix received ‘Tune Of The Week’ on A State of Trance 514.
The track was also supported by Paul Van Dyk who ended up licensing the single to his VONYC Sessions Selection compilation. Alex followed up ‘Silex’ with an amazing EP, ‘Remember This/Stealth’. This EP has been largely supported and both tracks were featured on Gareth Emery’s podcast series in the same episode (podcast 158).
Alex has just signed his most recent tracks ‘Wait For It’ and ‘Charged’ to the largely respected MODA Music Group with ‘Wait For It’ coming out on their brand new imprint MODA Top. With forthcoming tracks ‘Charged’ and ‘Wake Up’ due out soon and Alex working hard in the studio there’s still plenty more to come from this talented producer.
As well as producing top class productions, Alex regularly plays at a number of clubs throughout Scotland and is planning to bring his talents to the international club scene.
