Biography
With thousands of records in a collection that spans through many different types, styles and genres of music, certainly there have been many individual records which have left their own, indelible marks. There’s no doubt about that! For instance, Alex still does Depeche Mode nights from time to time, just for fun. But his activities with Techno don’t suffer at all from that, not in the least! With his 5+ hour sets at his first resident club in his Southeast Bavarian home area, the “Libella”, where DJ Hell also started his career back in the 80’s
…
, he achieved the reputation as someone who was totally aware of what he was doing, totally dedicated to it, but also someone who was totally infatuated with it. He hosted his own radio show for over 2 years on a local radio station, still the only techno show in the area. However, after countless gigs at the local clubs the time was deemed to be right to prove that he was also able to play at other venues around the globe. While collaborating with his friend Sven Dedek, whose productions were mainly released under the moniker’s “Basic Implant” or “Electric Envoy” on labels lsuch as “Fine Audio Recordings” from Chris Liebing, their tracks hit the Technofloors in a very impressive way. During that time he was also able to collect international experiences behind the decks as Sven played live. Releases like the “Phase Edit EP”, a highly acclaimed and well sold rework of some Nitzer Ebb EBM Classics, or their work for Dave Angel’s “Rotation”, Justin Berkovi’s “Predicaments” or Pascal FEOS’ “PV-Records” enabled them to reach a much larger audience.
