Biography

Having played in The Enemy and Toy Love and being the ‘other half’ of Tall Dwarfs, Alec Bathgate has a strong musical pedigree but can sometimes appear to be overshadowed by his more outspoken musical partner Chris Knox. More cautious at the microphone than Knox, Bathgate more than makes up for this reticence with his towering walls of guitar magic and the careful structures of his songwriting. Bathgate’s solo recordings so far include only two albums and a few contributions to various collections of covers.
