Biography

Albion’s origin can be traced back to 1996 when a songwriter/guitarist Jarda joined a Czech band Albion where he met Petka (drums), Logr (bass) and Konik (guitar) and
became one of the first pioneers of emocore movement in the late 90’ in Czech republic
supporting bands like: Engine Down, Elliott, Milemarker, Four Hundred Years, Unwound, Grade, Snapcase etc…
Albion commenced their first Czech tour in Spring 1997, followed by a small Czech-Polish tour in summer 1998.
Later on, during the recording of Synthpathy in 2001 they started to experiment with synthesizers and electronic music.

The band has been touring intensively to introduce their new record on a big European tour in 2002 (Czech,Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Poland).

In 2002 due to gaining internal tension Logr, the bass player, left Albion and was replaced by a local musician named Pavel. The band focused on brand new, more electronic material and opened their music for bigger audience and started to appear on big music festivals in Czech Republic, such as: Rock For People, Trutnov OpenAir, Love Planet and Mezi Ploty, after which they played their last tour with the Czech band Ready Kirken in 2004. In total, Albion had recorded two official albums one EP and split LP. Albion played around three hundred gigs.
