Alberto, a 16 year old musician from Western Los Angeles, is set to release his major debut, after signing with EMI. As a classically trained musician, he plays with other genres in his flirtacious debut, Cake is Missing. Often incorporating jazz, indie pop, avant-garde modernism and a sensibility that some listeners describe as coquette. Never shy of being eclectic, his natural approach to music helps bring credibility to what he projects. His use of words and coinage of finespun phrases and metaphors help bring subtlety without confusing listeners. Having written all of the songs on his LP, he is also known to cite his concern in how he delivers himself artistically, evident in his credit as “executive producer”. The record was made in Los Angeles, Toronto, Barcelona, and Paris, along with acclaimed producers whose reportoires feature Carole King, Elton John, Pink, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and Johnny Cash, among few. The debut effort is due in Winter 2006/2007.
