The quintet was formed in the late 1990s by graduates of the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music in London. Since then the ensemble has enjoyed a busy schedule of recitals held in venues across Britain and Europe.

Alberti Brass are: Paul Sharp & Simon Munday (trumpets), Adam Walters (Horn), David Whitehouse (trombone) and Peter Smith (tuba).

Individually, the members of Alberti Brass are freelance musicians who play regularly with such orchestras and ensembles as London Brass, Royal Opera House, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Concert Orchestra, English Baroque Soloists and many West End shows.
