Biography

Albert King: a huge, if not one of the most influental guitarists in the eyes of Stevie Ray Vaughan. SRV and his hero got together for a live, studio jam session, in which they played several different tracks together, including “Blues At Sunrise”, “Pride and Joy” and “Stormy Monday”. In between songs there are brief chats between the two legends. A must have for any blues fan.

    I don't know what it was, but despite the greatness of both artists, this album really didn't grab me. The keyboard player seemed to let them down rhythmically a few times, and "Pride & Joy" didn't have the zing that it did on SRV's live in Austin DVD. The two masters playing off each other were magical, though.

    When I heard about this recording, it was like a dream. But when I actually heard "In Session", it was like heaven. Two really great, and so "compatible" aritsts together, both passed away, but their fantastic music stays with us.

    normally when i get the album i play about 30-45 second of each song to know what will it be like. now i listen to this album for first time and i can't miss one second. keeping is short: amazing and beautiful
