Alasin was formed in Turku, Finland, year 2003 by Ville, Vesa and Tuukka. First the group had a female singer/bass-player, but it didn’t work out, mainly because the different musical interests between the male and female members.
In the year 2004 Antti joined in to handle the four-string and the band found their musical course, which is a mix of simple, heavy riffs (like Trio Niskalaukaus) and progressive elements (like CMX). When Jani joined the band to take care of the singing duties, the band was ready to go.

On March 2007 the group released their second demo, Valkea verho.

Band released their third demo on November 15th 2007, called DNA.
On January 2009 Toni decided to leave the band and his place was taken by his little brother Samu, who had his first appearance with the band in Turku Bandstand contest, 5th of February.
