The Guardian Songfacts says. Alanis Morissette married rapper Mario “MC Souleye” Treadway on May 22, 2010, in a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home. Seven months later the singer gave birth to their first child, Ever Imre. Her new status as a married mother informed Guardian’s lyrics - “I’ll be your keeper for life as your guardian. I’ll be your warrior of care, your first warden,” Morissette sings.

A notable exception on an otherwise mediocre (if that) album. This song is actually pretty good, though still not the level of Alanis' older stuff.

This came out days after my grandmother passed, and it was so timely and eerie I just looked up at the sky and said, "I love you too."

She has been on both sides of anger and happiness, still beautiful and talented!

Is it just me or does the line 'the greatest honour of all' sound a lot like 'the greatest stoner of all? It would be quite fitting, Alanis is all for the natural benefits of cannabis.

I was really surprised by this real catchy tune. For me it's her best song since "Ironic" 16 years ago. The refrain is awesome.

For me I think it's one of the her weaker songs don't hate it but not in love with it. [3]

Hehehe, glockenspiel. Amplify the wall of sound some more and I'd think Alanis wrote this after listening to Takk... XD
