  • this album grew A LOT in me, but I still dont like 'til You, Celebrity, Lens and Win and Win
  • It's a fucking good album. Not perfect of course, but much better than others... Alanis do it better.
  • Receive *__* [3]I love this song so much
  • Receive *__* [2]
  • It's been almost two years and I still don't like this album. I like some songs though, namely Woman Down, Receive and Edge of Evolution, but that's it. As a whole, this is a very disappointing record :(
  • This is Alanis' Beekeeper
  • Tagged as "dance"...? I guess Woman Down could be considered slightly dance-y, but surely the rest is not?!
  • I have had this album for about a year now so I've had more than enough time to reflect on it. What it all comes down to is that I really, really enjoy listening to this album. Some tracks were huge growers, namely Lens, Receive and Edge of Evolution. Some were "lighter" growers, such as Win and Win, which I used to see as very boring, especially the chorus, but now I find it quite pleasant to listen to. Numb and Havoc were "lighter" growers too. The remaining songs were more instant, especially Spiral and Empathy, which are so damn catchy! I feel at times it's just a little bit grey musically, it's kinda hard to explain. But I always enjoy it, it's quite addictive.
  • Edge of Evolution is the only great song on HABL.
  • After almost a year I'm sorry but I have to say this is a very weak album, it's like a compilation of fillers! Woman Down is the only great song and Guardian and a couple of other tracks are catchy but that's it... also some of the bonus tracks are interesting but imo the saddest thing is that she sounds uninspired and not really interested, and I don't like how her vocals too...
