Alanïa was an group from Tromsø, Norway. They only released two albums, Instinctive Travels in 1996 and Skyjuice in 1997.

The group consisted of Rune Lindbæk and Torbjørn Brundtland with help from Svein Berge and Gaute Barlindhaug.

Rune Lindbæk has released music as a solo artist, and been involved in projects such as Those Norwegians, Drum Island, Frost and Moonflowers.

Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge is most known for their work in electronica group Röyksopp.

  • Fans of Alania, how did you find the music? Personally, I hunted them down in the record stores when the CDs were released in 1996 and 1997. But the rest of you? Unfortunately their music is fairly unmentioned (hence it also is hard to find on the web), undeserved as it is uniquely good electronica that deserves a notorious place in history!
