Tool couldn't ripoff Al. That would require skills.

The intro reminds me of old SNES Games.... Lufia / Scret of Mana / Secret of Evermore / Terranigma.. Very nice melody.

This track was actually composed by George Mingo Lewis ( I Think ). Earlier George had played and composed on Caravanserai by Santana. Both George and X-Mahavishnu Jan Hammer played on Flight Over Rio.

There are both Santana and Mahavishnu Orchestra influences on that album. That and Casino were probably some of his best work.

I agree with Felice_10. BTW, perhaps if you (gungh) listened to more Santana, you may develop a better appreciation for his/their talent, what do you think? Much of Al´s work sounds a lot different from Santana´s. Perhaps you could listen to more of that, as well.

Some of his earlier stuff I like better. This is to rock-y for me. So if you share that point of view, try “Cielo e Terra” and “Soaring Through A Dream”
