Biography

b. Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. A smooth reggae artist, and ex-member of Skin, Flesh And Bones, whose first recording was for Coxsone Dodd, Brown subsequently teamed up with the Volcanoes, but enjoyed a UK solo hit with his version of Al Green’s “Here I Am Baby” for Trojan Records. Later singles included “Caribbean Queen” and “No Soul Today”, but he proved unable to repeat the success, despite working with the Seventh Extension band and others.
