Akurat is a Polish band formed in November 1994 in Bielsko-Biała. ‘Akurat’ has two meanings in Polish: ‘exactly’ or ‘yeah, right’. Music of the band can be credited as a fusion between punk rock, reggae, ska and pop.
Last year Akurat gave almost 100 concerts becoming one of the most popular college groups. Their main asset is unique unpretentious style escaping classification. Some link them to reggae legends like Daab and Gedeon Jerubal and even to UB40. To others they are the heirs of the independent stars like Mr.Zoob, Kazik and Kult. AKURAT created their own recognizable style. Their music has loads of positive energy and reflects the joy of playing. It’s a mixture of rock with a solid dose of ska music and intriguing lyrics perfectly describing reality.

The members of the band did not change and they are - Tomasz Kłaptocz (vocals, trumpet), Piotr Wróbel and Wojciech Żółty (guitars), Przemysław Zwias (saxophone, flute), Ireneusz Wojnar (bass) and Łukasz Gocal (drums). Their career begun with a few amateur contests, which brought them prizes (in Bielsko and Andrychów).

piszcie co chcecie z nowym wokalistą to juz nie jest ten sam zespół,on nie ogarnia tak jak powinien rytmu i tempa utworów. Byłem w maju na ich koncercie bawiłem sie dobrze choć widziałem ludzi którzy tylko siedzieli (choć wiem że nucą ich piosenki). Miałem okazję 2x być na ich występie w starym składzie i nie poszedłem :( nigdy sobie nie daruję...

Aż smutno się robi jak się czyta co niektórzy tutaj piszą. Mam nadzieję, że nie uważaliście się nigdy za fanów Akurat. Jeśli ktoś ich cenił to przecież nie tylko za wokalistę, ale za ich mądre teksty i pozytywną energie, a żadna z tych rzeczy się nie zmieniła. Słuchałam Akurat kiedyś i słucham teraz. W czwartek w Szczecinie odbył się ich koncert, który był niesamowity! Też słyszałam wersję akustyczną "Do prostego człowieka" i bardzo mi się podobało, bo stworzyło taką podniosłą atmosferę kiedy, wszyscy krzyczeli "bujać to my panowie szlachta !". Zdecydowanie warto iść na ich koncert jeśli lubi się taką muzykę. A tak na marginesie to pomyślcie sobie jak musi być im ciężko z takimi komentarzami, że to już nie jest ten sam zespół. Jestem szczęśliwa, że mimo to grają dalej dla prawdziwych fanów i tak zostanie. Dla mnie są genialni jak zawsze a obecni wokaliści ( w Szczecinie śpiewało ich dwóch) radzą sobie wspaniale KOCHAM AKURAT !!!!!
