Aksan has played with just about every major Indonesian act around. Whether it was behind the kit with Dewa 19, KLA Project, Melly Goeslaw or producing Sheila Majid and Indra Lesmana, he has worked with the best in the business. Now, with a jazz quartet, he’s doing what seems to come most naturally. The album “Peaceful Journey” represents a clear reflection of his love affair with the genre and is perhaps why this 2004 release feels so sincere. From the arrangement to the execution, his sticks brush over the skins with a delicacy and sensuality that reveals where his true passion really lies.
