Jakobdorof put it perfectly in the "The Sweetness Of Air France" article. He said, "I've never mourned a band like I did Air France." Until I read this line, I thought it was kind of strange that I took the break-up so badly. I couldn't understand why I felt like I'd suffered a death in the family. Stranger still, I felt this way after having only discovered them 12 months before they split up. But what a 12 months that was! I have never fallen in love with a band so quickly and so intensely. Nor have I ever been impacted by the demise of a band in this way before. Thank you jakobdorof for making me feel "normal."
