TCOTWS is their best album, followed by the Giant. Dunno, TDOO never clicked with me like the 2 previously mentioned albums.

The Call Of The Wretched Sea is the greatest of them all, The Giant is the weakest.

I always thought that TCOTWS was an album that had do be made. It fits the theme of Moby Dick so well, underlining the unevitable destiny the Pequod faces. The slow pace resembled for me the raging, storming sea which throws the ship around and Droste's voice being Ahab in his voracious hate. Altogether there was an eery mystery throughout the album - literally awesome. It took me quite a while to like TDOO. In fact I got to like it when The Giant came out. I too find The Giant to be their weakest release, though I really dig Further South and Aeons Elapse. Given that their name is AHAB, I still associate the music with Moby Dick.
