East and West could not agree
So their generals gave call, gathered troops at the border
With guns at ready, drawn and aimed
Each side was praying to a God to bless them with strength and courage

One of the best songs ever. Anybody who says Against Me isn't punk has two things: 1) a perfect right to their opinion, and 2) dogshit for brains ;)~

@travisishigh: I agree that AM! isn't as "punk" as they used to be, but that doesn't mean they aren't still good.

They owe you and I shit, its their vision...enjoy the music! Just maybe...the lyrics that "Stay the Same" provoke thought and Political awareness (they do hail from Florida)..or would you rather they hug a fucking tree! Here's to Against Me! the very first Sell-out in the History of Punk Rock! I still luv'em!

actually you'd be the dumb shitbag hipster. this band came out claiming anarchy and opposition to capitalism on their first ep, album, and first couple outtings outside of FL. They supported their lyrics through their methodology in touring by hitting small clubs with small promotion teams and street crews . Then Reinventing Axl Rose got huge reviews and they said fuck it and signed away. The lyrics stay the same, but the actions don't back up their claims. I will agree that "sell out" gets thrown around far too much... especially when it comes to independent music, but as far as their actions vs their words they are the definition of hypocrites and sell-outs.
