Ian why don't you say grace
\"dear god thanks, and if you loved me vegetables would be extinct\"
Now I'm looking down the barrel of a string-bean side like an exodus of biblical proportion redefined

  • EPIC !!!
  • I crack the fuck up every time he yells EAT THE GODDAMN BEANS [4]
  • Only Aesop could write an entire song about not wanting to eat his vegetables. [2] Was going tosay the same thing..

  • i like the last hook, personally think its fun part about this song, lyrics=granted, but to show production prowess as well, very nice.
  • Writing is about universal experiences, and what child has not experienced the embarassing, "No, _____can't come play until he finishes his dinner!" Sprinkle that topic with brilliant puns, metaphors, and rhythmic punches and you have a song that to me, epitomizes the greateness of Ace Rock. oh yeah, and I crack the fuck up every time he yells EAT THE GODDAMN BEANS [3]

  • Yup.
  • @Specta7 me too, man, me too. I love the many bits on this album that show personal growth. He quit smoking a while after Camu passed, RIP, and now it seems he's on the eating healthy kick... or trying to be. His feelings towards eating his veggies are just as I remember feeling when I was a kid. Whether he's serious are just going nostalgic to his childhood, it's still relatable and humorous to me. One of my favorite tracks on the album. Could possibly have used one less hook, but the hook is very enjoyable, especially when he switches from 'kids on dirtbikes asking you to bunnyhop the curbside' to 'kids on skateboards asking you to navigate the claymores'. Production is excellent as well. Love it.
