Acorn Boys

Biography

In the spring of 2006 Justin was packing up his recording studio and moving from Orlando back to Ohio. It was a stupid idea, but Acorn Boys never would have happened without it. The night before he left he sat down with Jacob and together they wrote a song that people claim is “the greatest song ever written.” Justin quickly pulled his recording gear out of it’s packed boxes and in less than two hours they finished recording the song “Walkin’ Under Trees.” A year later Flashlight Party released their first album and went on tour with Joy Electric, Acorn Boys was put on the back burner.
After the tour Justin moved back to Orlando and He and Jacob continued working on music. They wrote one more Acorn Boys song but never finished recording it and because of differing opinions they stopped working on music together.

Justin currently records under the name Church Library (Holiday Records) and Jacob records with Horse Shoes (Shelflife Records) and The Drums.

About “Walkin’ under the trees”

The song that started it all. It is referred to by some as “the
greatest song ever written.”. A simple story about being
lonely and watching the seasons change. Only two
hours to make, but a life time to try to recreate.
