Aardvark was a British band active in the 1970s, playing , unusual in doing without a guitarist.

They gained some fame from the fact that Paul Kossof and Simon Kirke played in the band before leaving to form Free; following the pair's departure, Aardvark became mainly a recording band, though they only released one album, with the lineup: Stan Aldous (bass), Frank Clark (drums), Steve Milliner (keyboards, recorder, vibraphone), and Dave Skillin (vocals).   • To MrTruddeswick (and others): There is other bands called aardvark. One from Finland; album Tuntematon sotilas and also that Uusi Kantele track is made by Finnish.

  • Could anyone tell me if there is more than one band called Aardvark? I know about the organ led 70's prog band, but they're not the same as the band who released Subterfuge in Disguise and a couple more albums all with a sort of midi sound to them are they? they sound very different if they do... Both are actually really awesome but I'd like to know a little more and I can't find anything online. I also know that there's another band from New Zealand in the 70's by the name who had a couple of singles...
