About this album
ASHÈ is a multi-cultural project created by three friends with soul, love and musical creativity.
Marcel Adjibi from Benin, Cees van der Linden from the Netherlands and Martin Flores from the USA bring a new sound to African pop music, blending and fusing jazz, pop and musical influences from all the continents.
With instigator Cees at the helm, Marcel’s mesmerizing vocals and Martin’s tequila-flavored drums and percussion, ASHÈ joins in the art of mature world music.
Communiqué, ASHÈ’s debut album, is vibrant, upbeat and sometimes contemplative, with a strong message of hope. Marcel, Cees and Martin believe that it is essential for people to communicate and to be aware of their lives’ meaning.
