I'm working on an instrumental to follow 'Only Words Will Remain' - it feels like it needs an outro of some kind.
This would be the ideal place for an acoustic guitar solo - if I could figure out how one of those acoustic guitars works. (It would be much easier to play without all the strings getting in the way.)
I'm still mentally-preparing myself to work on a music video, although I am cautiously optimistic that I will have this video completed by the 2084 target date. (Unless I happen to become bereft of life before that point - in that case, I will name a successor to continue working on the video, in exchange for a substantial percentage of my inheritance.)
I have uploaded the first formal track off the Piecemeal album entitled Retconned. (If you have no idea what this word means, find a comic book fan. They can explain..)
In the not too distant future, digital dopplegangers will take the form of the deceased, turning them into postmortem pitchmen.
Next on my agenda of stuff to do - a music video. Given that I have no idea how to make one, it should be out by 2084, give or take a few decades.
Next album is also in the works -- it's going to be called Piecemeal, since I plan to write it more like Nada, where I wrote and uploaded one track at a time, rather than writing all the tracks in sequence, and then unleashing the whole thing at once.
The first track from Piecemeal will be called Proteus. (A gold star to any comic book fans that catch the obscure reference here.)
The newer version of Baptism is uploaded. It's currently a 'bonus track' on Dead In The Water, listed as track 12. I might replace the original version outright with the re-recording. (I'm waiting to see what response it gets.)
Thanks for all the listens -- I'm currently doing the 2009 RPM Challenge, the goal of which is to make an album in a month.
Some day, I will post the albums from RPM 2007-2009 here -- I always thought it was a little rough around the edges, though. (Needs some reworking..)
Speaking of which, I uploaded a fine-tuned version of Desert Is Just Dessert. (It seems to have gotten a warm reception elsewhere.)
I'm going to take one more stab at making Baptism less sucky, and then I'm moving onto new material. (If anything, it needs a 'radio edit'.)
If you're wondering about the 'non-playable' tracks that show on Last FM, they're from the two RPM Challenge albums I did.
You can find some of the tracks from the first album on my Soundclick site. http://www.soundclick.com/AMUC .
Both albums are listenable from http://www.rpmchallenge.com as well.
I'm working on RPM Challenge 2008 (www.rpmchallenge.com).
The album I mentioned from December is called Dead In The Water. Three of the tracks are posted to Soundclick. The remainder will be as well - it's just going to have to wait until March 1st, though.
I have the first two tracks ready to go. It's too bad Last FM doesn't let you do album uploads piecemeal. (Maybe let you specify what the songs will be, and then gradually upload them as you go along..)
Yeah, Yeah - I know. The artist image is supposed to be a picture of me. I think what Last FM forgets sometimes is some people are very camera-shy. (I generally go running for the hills every time somebody tries to photograph me.)
I uploaded a new song over on Soundclick. The last two songs I did are companion pieces. (Night Vigil and Footprints Fade). They're freely available for download. (I will also post them to Last FM sooner or later. I'm not sure if we can upload single songs, though, or if they have to be uploaded collectively as part of an album. (I'll have to tinker with that.)
