Cool - AMUC got mentioned in a news article!: http://www.tor.com/blogs/2012/05/a-different-kind-of-audiobook-foreshadows-the-ghosts-of-zero [**happy dance**]

I'm working on an instrumental to follow 'Only Words Will Remain' - it feels like it needs an outro of some kind. This would be the ideal place for an acoustic guitar solo - if I could figure out how one of those acoustic guitars works. (It would be much easier to play without all the strings getting in the way.)

Proteus Pt 1 has been uploaded under the Piecemeal album. (Gold star for any comic book fans who can pick up on the references here.)

Proteus is literally coming together in a Piecemeal way, considering the track sort of broke in half. Proteus I should be up shortly. I'm just getting some of the kinks out of it.

The "Proteus" track I originally mentioned below is in the works - it's coming together in a piecemeal sort of way.

I'm still mentally-preparing myself to work on a music video, although I am cautiously optimistic that I will have this video completed by the 2084 target date. (Unless I happen to become bereft of life before that point - in that case, I will name a successor to continue working on the video, in exchange for a substantial percentage of my inheritance.)

I have uploaded the first formal track off the Piecemeal album entitled Retconned. (If you have no idea what this word means, find a comic book fan. They can explain..) In the not too distant future, digital dopplegangers will take the form of the deceased, turning them into postmortem pitchmen.

    Interesting sounds.

Next on my agenda of stuff to do - a music video. Given that I have no idea how to make one, it should be out by 2084, give or take a few decades. Next album is also in the works -- it's going to be called Piecemeal, since I plan to write it more like Nada, where I wrote and uploaded one track at a time, rather than writing all the tracks in sequence, and then unleashing the whole thing at once. The first track from Piecemeal will be called Proteus. (A gold star to any comic book fans that catch the obscure reference here.)

The newer version of Baptism is uploaded. It's currently a 'bonus track' on Dead In The Water, listed as track 12. I might replace the original version outright with the re-recording. (I'm waiting to see what response it gets.)

I posted a newer version of Baptism over on Alonetone: http://www.alonetone.com/amuc If it passes muster over there, I'll replace the current version of Baptism here.

It's starting to sound less sucky! (No, really - it is!)

Back to working on making Baptism less sucky.. It's become the proverbial Yugo in my proverbial garage that I feel the need to proverbially tinker with, in a proverbial sort of way.

RPM 2009 Challenge is complete - good songwriting, but it needs to be remastered.

Thanks for all the listens -- I'm currently doing the 2009 RPM Challenge, the goal of which is to make an album in a month. Some day, I will post the albums from RPM 2007-2009 here -- I always thought it was a little rough around the edges, though. (Needs some reworking..)

Speaking of which, I uploaded a fine-tuned version of Desert Is Just Dessert. (It seems to have gotten a warm reception elsewhere.) I'm going to take one more stab at making Baptism less sucky, and then I'm moving onto new material. (If anything, it needs a 'radio edit'.)

Thanks.. =) I'm still trying to iron out the kinks in some of the other tracks from that album.

Last.fm recommended me Dead in the water as well as other single tracks, and I must say I like what I'm hearing. Nice sound choices, keeps the listener hooked. :)

I'm over 1,000 plays! (Yeah - it's not as exciting as 666 plays, but it's still a milestone.)

If you're wondering about the 'non-playable' tracks that show on Last FM, they're from the two RPM Challenge albums I did. You can find some of the tracks from the first album on my Soundclick site. http://www.soundclick.com/AMUC . Both albums are listenable from http://www.rpmchallenge.com as well.

Thanks for the positive response DITW has received so far. I'm actually working on fine-tuning one of the tracks already -- the production on one needs a little sprucing up in a couple spots.

New AMUC album posted: Dead In The Water Feedback is appreciated. Also, please help me tag it. (If you're an artist, I'll reciprocate if you drop me a note.)

    Wow. Four away from 666.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm waiting to get to 666 listens. That should pull in the death metal fans. (I have it all planned out.)

    Yep. I love it.

606 plays. Wicked, truly wicked >:) I am about to listen, I'm sure I'll love it.

I'm working on RPM Challenge 2008 (www.rpmchallenge.com). The album I mentioned from December is called Dead In The Water. Three of the tracks are posted to Soundclick. The remainder will be as well - it's just going to have to wait until March 1st, though.

    February 2008
  • Lunarsight

The tracks are over on Soundclick if anybody wants to hear. http://www.soundclick.com/AMUC

    January 2008
  • Lunarsight

I have the first two tracks ready to go. It's too bad Last FM doesn't let you do album uploads piecemeal. (Maybe let you specify what the songs will be, and then gradually upload them as you go along..)

New AMUC on the way soon. I'm currently trying to hammer it into shape with one of those plastic Fisher-Price hammers. Bear with me.

RPM challenge album is done. I'll probably redo it later. I'm working on a newer album now. It's sounding promising. My voice holds up very well, I think.

    October 2007
  • Lunarsight

400 plays!! Woo. I'm certainly going to celebrate by uncorking a bottle of supermarket-brand ginger ale. (Well, it's not really a CORK, but I'll pretend.)

    October 2007
  • Lunarsight

I'm piecing together a new album for the RPM challenge, hence all the strange entries listed here that aren't on Last FM [yet]. (www.rpmchallenge.com)

    February 2007
  • Lunarsight

Yeah, Yeah - I know. The artist image is supposed to be a picture of me. I think what Last FM forgets sometimes is some people are very camera-shy. (I generally go running for the hills every time somebody tries to photograph me.)

    January 2007
  • Lunarsight

I uploaded a new song over on Soundclick. The last two songs I did are companion pieces. (Night Vigil and Footprints Fade). They're freely available for download. (I will also post them to Last FM sooner or later. I'm not sure if we can upload single songs, though, or if they have to be uploaded collectively as part of an album. (I'll have to tinker with that.)

Last FM has brought back the free download thingy. <doing dance of joy> Every last AMUC track is freely downloadable. (I always thought the whole micropayment thing really sucked.)

Er. Um. I'm starting to think the junky car in my garage is a Yugo, and beyond repair.

Starting to work on new stuff, although Feels Like Cold is kind of like the junky car in the garage that every guy feels obsessed to try and repair.

This actually isn't sounding bad at all. It has a bit of an OSI meets The Gathering feel to it. It's still all programmed music, but it's a bit further removed from electronica.

It's problematic writing a song about a winter scene on a 90 degree day. =(

I'm working on new music. I'm not as tone-deaf as I thought I was - go figure.
