Alternate Modes Of Underwater Consciousness

Everything-but-the-kitchen-sink electronica from the moderately unstable mind of a computer geek.

Well, it was electronica - God only knows what it’s evolving (devolving?) into now.

Proteus is literally coming together in a Piecemeal way, considering the track sort of broke in half. Proteus I should be up shortly. I'm just getting some of the kinks out of it.

The "Proteus" track I originally mentioned below is in the works - it's coming together in a piecemeal sort of way.

I'm still mentally-preparing myself to work on a music video, although I am cautiously optimistic that I will have this video completed by the 2084 target date. (Unless I happen to become bereft of life before that point - in that case, I will name a successor to continue working on the video, in exchange for a substantial percentage of my inheritance.)

I have uploaded the first formal track off the Piecemeal album entitled Retconned. (If you have no idea what this word means, find a comic book fan. They can explain..) In the not too distant future, digital dopplegangers will take the form of the deceased, turning them into postmortem pitchmen.

Next on my agenda of stuff to do - a music video. Given that I have no idea how to make one, it should be out by 2084, give or take a few decades. Next album is also in the works -- it's going to be called Piecemeal, since I plan to write it more like Nada, where I wrote and uploaded one track at a time, rather than writing all the tracks in sequence, and then unleashing the whole thing at once. The first track from Piecemeal will be called Proteus. (A gold star to any comic book fans that catch the obscure reference here.)

The newer version of Baptism is uploaded. It's currently a 'bonus track' on Dead In The Water, listed as track 12. I might replace the original version outright with the re-recording. (I'm waiting to see what response it gets.)

I posted a newer version of Baptism over on Alonetone: http://www.alonetone.com/amuc If it passes muster over there, I'll replace the current version of Baptism here.

It's starting to sound less sucky! (No, really - it is!)

Back to working on making Baptism less sucky.. It's become the proverbial Yugo in my proverbial garage that I feel the need to proverbially tinker with, in a proverbial sort of way.

RPM 2009 Challenge is complete - good songwriting, but it needs to be remastered.

Thanks for all the listens -- I'm currently doing the 2009 RPM Challenge, the goal of which is to make an album in a month. Some day, I will post the albums from RPM 2007-2009 here -- I always thought it was a little rough around the edges, though. (Needs some reworking..)

Speaking of which, I uploaded a fine-tuned version of Desert Is Just Dessert. (It seems to have gotten a warm reception elsewhere.) I'm going to take one more stab at making Baptism less sucky, and then I'm moving onto new material. (If anything, it needs a 'radio edit'.)

Thanks.. =) I'm still trying to iron out the kinks in some of the other tracks from that album.

Last.fm recommended me Dead in the water as well as other single tracks, and I must say I like what I'm hearing. Nice sound choices, keeps the listener hooked. :)

I'm over 1,000 plays! (Yeah - it's not as exciting as 666 plays, but it's still a milestone.)

If you're wondering about the 'non-playable' tracks that show on Last FM, they're from the two RPM Challenge albums I did. You can find some of the tracks from the first album on my Soundclick site. http://www.soundclick.com/AMUC . Both albums are listenable from http://www.rpmchallenge.com as well.

Thanks for the positive response DITW has received so far. I'm actually working on fine-tuning one of the tracks already -- the production on one needs a little sprucing up in a couple spots.
