There are two bands called AM FM each with different punctuation.

1. AM/FM consists of Philadelphia’s Brian Sokel (Franklin) and Michael Parsell. Their first release is the Audiot EP on Skylab Operations.

In March of 2001 AM/FM released the full length “Mutilate Us”. In October of that year they released the full length album “Getting into Sinking”.

In 2003 AM/FM released the 4 song EP “The Sky is the New Ground”.

Although their myspace page contains a blog posting from Brian alluding to an upcoming album in July of 2006, no record has been released.

2. AM-FM are a disco/boogie band from the early eighties generally known because of hip hop djs being fond of cutting up the break in their 1981 single ‘You are the one’

These guys were great. Wish they did another album, Polyvinyl had a lot of great bands at the time.

Just FYI for whomever monitors these things, there is a band from Chicago called AMFM (with no / in the middle), so that shouldn't forward to this band.
