ALV band was born around 1995 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The former members are Nugie Nugraha (vocal), Alex Kuple (bass), Nito Septian (guitar), Joe Sampouw (guitar), and Sigit TP (drummer). Daniel Iman (guitar) was also a founder of this band and contributing several songs for ALV. The latest formation of ALV band are Nugie Nugraha (vocal), Alex Kuple (bass), Joe Sampouw (guitar), Gerry Herb (drums), and Hendy HS (piano & keyboards). ALV has recorded 3 albums as back up band for three Nugie’s solo albums, “Bumi” (1995), “Air” (1996), and “Udara” (1998) also known as first Trilogy of Nugie. Then as a complete group ALV has released two albums “ALV” (2001) and “Senyawa Hati” (2003). Amongst their hits are songs “Tertipu”, “Putri”, “Teman Baik”, “Burung Gereja”, “Pembuat Teh”, “Pelukis Malam” (as Nugie & ALV), also “Tak Kasat Mata”, and “Rahasia Hati” as ALV. All the five albums were released by Aquarius Musikindo as their label. ALV’s music earlier influenced by 90’s grunge-alternative like Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Live, and many more. But in their recent abums in 2000, ALV’s music became more widely explored as they put together folk, blues, jazz, pop, funk, and modern rock to their songs.

    It's about the time you guys re-team and do some gigs/records (even better). You have to fill the voids in Indonesian scene nowadays packed with kitsch recording from such typical bands. Last.FM could the first step into major scene (international), and I think you have plenty support from -at least- our small group. ;) Move on ALV!
