For those wondering about the pronunciation of the title - 快楽 is most commonly read as "kairaku", but "keraku" is also a valid reading, possibly an old/outdated one. Arika *usually* uses the "keraku" reading throughout this album.
I actually see this album as a grown up version of Ryuukou Sekai, of course this is not a bad thing haha. (4). But, I guess I like the whole album and I couldn't expect nothing more from the lyrics that are perfect for the theme, a mix of lust, desire, sex and, of course, pleasure <3
Yeah, it's absolutely incredibly, quite possibly my new favourite! I wish last.fm would hurry up and give 快楽のススメ a proper page with artwork though; it's been out long enough now. (8) and Golden Slumbers Kiss Your Eyes (10 - limited edition). Overall though, all songs are brilliant, it's a very experimental album, and in my opinion, pulled off excellently!
Everyone's been super quiet lately...where have you all gone?! I was waiting to give others a chance, but I'm too excited, so here's two 35 second previews of the music videos for the new album!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsfCj--rEEM and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wlAlf3Uk4M. They sound absolutely amazing!! I'm pre-ordering the special edition of the new album this Sunday. Who's excited?! I most definitely am!!
Not long now until the new album「快楽のススメ」(Kairaku no Susume - Advice of Pleasure)! The song names on the tracklist look really interesting, and the album artwork is stunning!! (http://www.generasia.com/wiki/Kairaku_no_Susume). Not sure why they've written the romaji on the artwork as 'Keraku' rather than 'Kairaku' though. I can't wait!!
@KATAKUraLevi - Similar to Les Papillons would be their other strings albums - 月光嗜好症 (Gekkou Shikoushou), Étoiles, 神々の黄昏 (Kamigami no Tasogare), Romance, Grand Finale, Gothic Opera and of course, the latest, Violetta Operetta - hope this helps! (^v^)
@shinjukurocket - For their strings albums, other than Violetta Operetta I recommend 神々の黄昏, that's one of my favourite Alipro string albums. But if you wanna hear some of their other stuff, yet love their orchestral side, I definitely recommend There are fast paced, Alipro single types on that album, but also more bombastic, complex orchestral tracks.
Also, if it is their strings albums you're after, check their Generasia page here, which lists all the albums, singles, strings albums, etc ^_^ - http://www.generasia.com/wiki/ALI_PROJECT
Do they have other albums like Violetta Operetta? I just got into them recently and the album blew my mind completely. The music sounds so classical and delicate. I listened to 流行世界 but I didn't get those same vibes.
The limited CD/DVD edition of ALI PROJECT's new album (Ryuukou Sekai - Fashion World) arrived through the post today! Just finished it (but forgot to turn last.fm on to scrobble it...damn, maybe the app will pick up on it). It is amazing!! Typical Alipro, but still fresh; it's complex, hectic, passionate and beautiful. As always, we get that one completely different, experimental song, and this time it's (Keijijouteki na, Chou ni Naru - To Become, a Metaphysical Butterfly). I was completely speechless when listening to that song. It's absolutely beautiful, in my opinion, one of their best songs yet!
@tensotensoq - You can find a load of their MVs here, in about as good quality as you can find online - https://www.youtube.com/user/ALIPROJECTch/featured - Other than that, their DVD editions of singles/albums usually have at least one MV on, but if you don't live in Japan, then it can be very expensive, and they're usually limited editions :)
