There are also tinges of Argentinian music, especially Astor Piazzolla. Just tried to sit through the video above, "Surmounting the Masses" - this perfectly illustrates my point - the vocals just DO NOT FIT with the music at all. It just doesn't work. She's probably a very good, classically trained opera singer, but it doesn't "gel" at all.
