Montreal, Canada (2003 – present)

AIDS Wolf embrace the hate. If they can’t draw you in, they will make you run away cursing and bitching. Their songs speak to the terminally alienated, the relentlessly negative, the inherently repugnant. The Montréal trio (two guitars, drums and insane warbling) formed in early 2003, to the protestations of most of humanity. Since the beginning, they’ve sought to live the life: to practice complete aesthetic immersion, create music in some form every day, and live healthfully to facilitate their creative endeavors, no vacations allowed. AW greets our modern gloom with heady zeal. They are the only three angry people to ever come out of Canada.

I think Ma Vie Banale will be like Trout Mask Replica, it won't be renowned until decades later, when we all catch up to the music. I still can't get in to it but I know there's something there...

Successful experimental musicians tend to come from money? Well, that is incorrect, especially nowadays, and even if this was true in the case of AIDS Wolf does that make this project any less worth exploring than if they didn't come from money? Or are you just trying to further justify disliking a band to yourself?

"i wonder if these kids came from money".......most likely, as with many "successful" "experimental" musicians.

I'm melting here. Why are we stuck in some lame universe where this didn't make them into the biggest rock stars?
