Biography

AGF is Antye Greie. An East German singer-songwriter, producer, poet, & audio-visual artist. Greie converts her poetry into electronic music, calligraphy and sound installations.

The start of Greie’s solo career was marked by the artistic exploration of digital technology. On her first solo album ‘Head Slash Bauch’, she converted fragments of HTML scripts and software handbooks into a form of electronic poetry and deconstructed pop.

Her collaboration with Sue Costabile titled ‘Mini Movies’ involved live audio-visual. In 2008 Greie released ‘Words Are Missing’ and ‘Dancefloor Drachen’ both experimented with absence of poetry and repetitive statements on reduced to complex rhythms.

Other projects include:
German electronic duo Laub, The Lappetites, AGF / Delay (with Vladislav Delay), The Dolls (Vladislav Delay and Craig Armstrong), Zavoloka / AGF, collaborations with Craig Armstrong, Ellen Allien, Gudrun Gut, Eliane Radigue and Kaffe Matthews.
