Biography

A.C. Marias was a musical project by Bruce Gilbert of Wire and female vocalist, Angela Conway.

They released their debut single “Drop/So” on Dome Records in 1980. After an hiatus, the project continued with the single “Just Talk” in September 1986 and, subsequently, their sole album “One of Our Girls (Has Gone Missing)” in August 1989.

Gilbert returned to Wire and Conway became a music video producer mostly working for State Films who made many promo videos for bands on Mute (Depeche Mode, Erasure, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds amongst many others).
