A Place to Bury Strangers is the self-titled first album from psychedelic rock band A Place to Bury Strangers. Most of the songs were recorded between 2004 and 2006 and released as series of ad hoc EPs and sold at shows by the band. The band came to the attention of Killer Pimp owner Jon Whitney in late 2006 and he asked if he could have the songs remastered and release them as an album on CD. The band deliberated over whether or not this would be a good move for some time, but finally came to an agreement and the album was released as a limited edition in August, 2007. The limited edition soon sold out and several repressings were undertaken. As of March 2008 further pressings are ongoing.

Obviously a lighter affair than their debut, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't love every track on this release.

yes! my vote changed it! good because i have that one, with an extra blue/etched LP including the bonus tracks, which arent too bad either.

My first disc from them still has 8 songs. And that was 2005. To fix the Gash in your head, and Ocean were on its own ep in 2006. But in all fairness..The band just mad mass discs for shows on the fly. They changed things up a bit. Hell most of the music was free on aplacetoburystrangers.com, before 2008 happened. This would be special if say the song My Weakness has the intro on it. It doesn't. So don't waste your money.

That album cover is in correct. That is the Killer Pimp cover. The tracklist posted on here is the Untitled Ocean ep, that came out in 2006. It is either that, or they are only showing the songs that are full streamable.

I really like that extremely distorted sound, bad thing is that they use it in almost every song throughout whole album.
